Updating Marathon Mode

Topic No.1 - TangYuan
I promised S.Yee I'll put her mama's special "kam pou tong yuen" up on my blog. Usually you'll find these stuff round in shape, either have it big or small, with or without filling, dark coloured ginger taste soup or sweet syrup. These however, are very special tong yuen wish I'm glad I've eaten one. Another colleague keep making fun, saying every one signifies one year, by eating one you'll grow a year older. *shrugs* If that's the case I'll be an old old lady then. That's right, I ate lots of them. So be it! To a new year of great prosperity!

Ta-da! One normal typical boring tongyuen and one oh so special!

Zoom In! Looks like abalone no? An artificial one though. *snickers*

Topic No.2 - Jacket
In response to Hanako-bachan's shopping spree at MNG. Here's my jacket instead. Wee..

I love my jacket! Though I rarely wears it... It's unofficially a Maru Jacket as well... haha..

Topic No.3 - Winter time in Malaysia
Yup, it's colder than usual and it's pouring! Too bad it's not nice white little snowflakes but big fat raindrops. Floods, gah... in Johor of all places. Do hope Fangy-kun is doing fine and Lem-san is not all soaking wet travelling to work everyday, not that I'm any better.

Yup, that's Snoopy cycling happily under the heavy rain outside and Garfield is standing there trying to hitch a ride.

*shrugs* Stickers on my dad's car. Hahaha.. my mom believes putting stickers indirectly show this as a family car thus, lessen the possibility of being aimed by car thieves. Maybe it does help? *touch wood*

Okies, I have more to blog. My phone memory is full with the photos I've been taking and the lack of motivation of blogging about them. So if I'm motivated enough tonight, I'll do another post! *_*

Stepping on people's shoes

They always say "Put yourself in another's shoes" and you'll understand them better. I say "step on their shoes" to make them understand you better. Well, it's rude I know and I swear I didn't do it on purpose. It's always a rush after the ferry arrived at the port and everyone, well not exactly everyone... most people rushes out trying to make it in time for the bus or in my case make sure I arrived earlier than my dad so that I don't keep him waiting. Unfortunately not everyone is in a hurry and well the girl in front of me was taking her own sweet time 'strolling' along with the rest of us. Thus, I ACCIDENTALLY stepped on the back of her shoe which I am truly sorry *bows* However, guess what? She got the hint and walked faster, so much faster that she even went ahead a few people that was initially in front of her.

To the girl who I accidentally stepped on your shoe, I'm truly sorry but I'm glad you pick up the speed after that.

On a side note, my Internet Explorer is giving me problems, it hangs and I have to force quit it. I'm not too sure if it's the new version is not stable or it's me who did something to it. I can't seem to find any evil stuff lurking in my computer. What am I to do?

In case this poor blog doesn't get an update before Christmas.

Merry Christmas 2006!

I do not want this to turn into a monthly blog

Therefore, I shall make myself post more this coming month *determines*

Penang has been wet, wet, wet. It's not very amusing to come home soaking wet every day. A little sprinkle on oneself is nice once in a while, if you know how to appreciate it. However, like many things in life, it gets less appreciative and "nice" if you keep getting it day after day. The worst case was probably two thursdays ago. It rained... I know that's no big deal... but it rained and you are not allowed to open your umbrella. -.-;; Not if you don't want to be blown away with it, and get a new umbrella the next day. I was on the ferry with a whole bunch of other equally unfortunate people and this is how the ferry look like...

No.. I'm not lying. We were all there... there in one corner of the ferry, attempting to hide from the rain. Note the word "attempting" cause it didn't actually work, no thanks to the wind. Hmm... it's actually a very nice photo though. =P

It was an experience. It certainly was.

Papa Wong makes another appearance

Is it just me or is my dad just one amusing guy? He makes quite a number of appearance on my blog. Then again, my life is way boring and revolves around such a small circle of people that the most amusing person turns out to be my dad. -.-

I'm writing all these down so that I'll remember them in the future. Maybe I'm a narcasistic? narcassistic? nar.... *Cubbie is probably laughing right now* I find my one year old post interesting. Hahaha... of course I do, it happened to me!

Just the other day I was in the kitchen with my mom when she said something like "I thought your father was...." I can't remember what it was about but my dad answered from the living room "Why I heard my name??"

Me: Since when your name is "your father"?
Dad: That's my name in this house.
Me: I thought your name is Papa Wong.
Dad: *big grin on his face*

Yup, I write "dad", formally said "my father" but I call him "papa" and thus, it's been established that his name at home is Papa Wong since I was very young.

Yesterday was the last day of a long 5 day holiday. Mom, the thinker had made plans throughout the 5 days, mainly plans on what to eat. ^^;; and she suggested to go for Dim-sum for Wednesday breakfast. I loved Dim-sum! Dim-sum be the Chinese sushi or Sushi be the Japanese Dim-sum? Anyway, to eat Dim-sum means to wake up early.

*wakes up at 7.00am in the morning*
*walks out to the living room where my dad is already there watching television*
*sits down on the sofa, still not quite awake*

Dad: *points to me* Hahahaha... sacrifice sleep for food!!

(-.-)

I'm allergic to...

I've disappeared for one month! Many things happened but you don't remember them if you don't put them into words aka records. All that I remember is me being sick and am still sick.

I've made a second visit to another different doctor today since my phelgm seems to like its new found home in my throat. -.-

Doctor: "Phelgm like this are not the same as the one with flu and cough, those goes away easily. This sometime are course by allergies and sensitivity."

From my own knowledge and experience, I'm allergic to "an overdose of big prawns and kembong fish". And that is only if I consume too much of those. i.e: I'll get rashes if I take more than 2 kembong at one time but why be greedy and take 3 anyway? So basically, up till now I don't have any serious allergy problems. So I told the doctor about my uncomfortable state during sleep and early mornings, the excessive coughing and massive eyes discharge, you know the "goooiy" stuff.. umm.. cantonese "gan si", etc... and I am sensitive after all..

Sensitive to ... COLD!! HAHAHAHAHA....

Heyo! Maybe I am. My parents sleep with the air-cond on while I sleep with a standing fan in my room with the speed of... 1! O.N.E!! Hahaha.. not to mentioned I bury myself under my red blanket and shivers whenever I wakes up early in the morning. *shrugs* Honestly, I wrapped myself up when I sleep. I remember back then when I lived with my housemates in university, they say I look like a freaking red mummy! -.-;;

But hey, I rarely complains that it's cold. I can stand cold, I am just sensitive to it.. haha.. at least now I know. *shrugs*

Nodding moo!

What suppose to be the next day turn out to be almost two weeks later. -.-;;

My first attempt with youtube upload. I hope it works.

My nodding moo!

Moo agrees to everything I say. Hehehe... add in a little zoom out to my entire compact desktop just to show my KAT-TUN wallie. LOL

Can't type anymore. Am having a hard time with my broken pair of glasses. I really dunno my own strength sometimes. Imagine breaking my glasses into half, exactly half with my bare hands. *dot dot dot* Am living on contacts while working but it be bad to wear them for sooo long. Aaaa.... *getting frustrated* gonna stop typing!

50th post! *dances around*

H-A-P-P-Y!

I got a nodding cow that will agree to whatever I say! Weee.... *would like to insert visual of nodding cow here but the batteries died and I couldn't use the camera. Hopefully I have the urge to do it tomorrow*

This turns out an even pointless post than the previous one. ^^;;
What a lousy 50th post.
But who cares, it's maaa birthday. *evil laughter* muahaha...
Gosh, I'm 22 already! Grow up! *sticks tongue out*
*shakes head* I give up... LOL

Hiyashi - spending her last half hour of her birthday in not the right state of mind.. Mind you, I'm sober. Not drunk, just happy and hyper, too bad I have to go to bed already ^^;;

Goodbye 21 *waves*

My last day as a 21 year old .__.
Taken off my "key" necklace.
Replaced with a "J" necklace.
Playing "Goodbye my love" in the background.
Why am I making this such a sad thing? ^^;;

Celebration comes early since tomorrow is a work day.
Have to update tomorrow.
Shall mark the 50th entry of my blog.
This is a pointless entry... hmm
*goes digging all the photos I've been taking that I intend to blog about but never got around to it*

Bought two little stick man last week.
*shrugs at my love for stick man*

poor dude ^^;;

The various faces of bus conductors

There are bus conductors who
couldn't care less...
of how pack the bus is
if you have no place to stand in the bus
whether each passanger paid for the ride

Then there is this old bus conductor
who don't let passangers board the bus
when he thinks it's already to full
He goes "tak boleh, sudah penuh"
and poor young lady might be late for work
people asked "why you don't let her up"
he said "it's dangerous and she's a lady"
"if he's a man, than it's okay"

There's also one bus conductor who...
I assumed likes pink
for he has a pink polo-t
and even a pink shirt
Sometimes, he don't even bother to button his shirt
showing off his chest hair
and you think urgh..
but it rained that day
and the bus seats were wet
pink shirt left unbutton he might be
but he came over and wipe away the water from the seat
and thus creating extra seats for the passangers
so what if he wears pink and shows off his chest hair?
it doesn't really matter

Talking to my dad...

... can be a wee bit annoying yet amusing at times.

Situation 1
Sis: Today hor... only little people came to school.
Dad: Eh? Only little people? The big ones didn't?
Sis: -.-;;

Situation 2
Mom: The guy who sell salted egg at the market... last time he dunno Hokkien but now he can talk already.
Dad: Eh? Now can talk, last time cannot? You all cured a dumb man?
Mom: -.-;;

Don't you think he is just so amusing? ^^;;

Melaungkan Kemerdekaan!

"Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!"

49 years! I bet next year will be a grand celebration, half a century man! This year is kinda quiet though, hahaha... already all busy with next year? Am I getting to excited? I might not be the most patriotic person but I love my country. Hiyashi is proud to be Malaysian! *okay, I just contradict myself with that Japanese nickname* So... Today, I'm going to break down my "barrier" a little and reveil myself as Wong, proud to be Malaysian! Hahaha... I know.. SWTS!

Hey, I may be obsess with everything related to Japan, dreams to go to Italy and eat my favourite spaghetti till I wanna puke but it'll still be a Malaysian in Italy who happens to adore Japan way too much. ^__^

I better stop before it starts to sound way too corny.

Hiyashi - made in Malaysia not Japan *winks*

Maa current theme song

Hehehe... I'm addicted. Save me!

Baseball Song
Kenny Rogers

Little boy, in a baseball hat,
Stands in a field, with his ball and bat,
says "I am the greatest, player of them all"
puts his bat on his shoulder, and tosses up his ball.

And the ball goes up, and the ball comes down,
he swings his bat all the way around,
and the worlds so still you can hear the sound
as the baseball falls, to the ground.

Now the little boy, doesn't say a word,
picks up his ball, he is undeterred,
Says "I am the greatest, there has ever been,"
and he grits his teeth, and tries it again.

And the ball goes up, and the ball comes down,
he swings his bat all the way around,
and the worlds so still you can hear the sound
as the baseball falls, to the ground.

He makes no excuses, He shows no fear,
He just closes his eyes, and listens to the cheers.

Little boy, he adjusts his hat
picks up his ball, stares at his bat,
says "I am the greatest, the game is on the line,"
and he gives his all, one last time.

And the ball goes up, like the moon so bright,
Swings his bat, with all his might,
and the worlds as still, as still as can be,
and the baseball falls, and that's strike three.

Now its supper time, and his Mama calls,
little boy starts home, with his bat and ball,
says "I am the greatest, that is a fact,
but even I didn't know, I could pitch like that."

Says, "I am the greatest, that is understood,
but even I didn't know, I could pitch that good."

-------

Yup, I'm the greatest!

There it goes again!

I'm talking about my brain again.

While sitting at the bus stop waiting for the bus to arrive, the traffic light up front was red on the opposite side of the road. Thus, a long Q up to the front of the bus stop. Then there was this motorcylist waiting in line and look over to the bus stop. Hence, my brain begins its journey...

"What on earth is he looking at? Hmm... he should come over and offer a ride to one of us. Imagine that? Trying to flirt with the ladies in the bus stop. Then again, it probably won't work with such nerdy looks. If it's a good looking guy on the other hand... Then again, it'll probably end up with "You're so good looking that you must be some kind of a con man, I'm sooo not getting on." Hahahaha.. self amusement, stop day-dreaming so much."

And I thought that marks the end of my trail of thoughts but no siree. After a few seconds of pausing, my next thought was...

"What if the good looking guy so happen to me that kind or really have no bad intention except wanting to know you? Hahahha.. then he'll be misunderstood just because he is good looking. Does that mean good looking guys are doomed to be thinked twice before convince as being honest and sincere? *shrugs*"

After that I silently scolded myself to shut down my brain ... again! Hahaha.. which of course doesn't really work because duh.. we're humans, not computers and we don't have the "Shut down" option, well... there is.. but then you can't "start" after you official "shut down", you get what I mean. ^^;; and so I boarded the ferry and reached land! Was walking down the stairs and there it goes again...

"Why on earth do they make these stairs so damn small? It's worst than the old one! I guess it helps for the young ones, the smaller ones that is. But that's just my guess, I do hope that's the reason or something reasonable so I can be considerate enough to tolerate because personally I think the chances of me falling on these tiny new solid cemented stairs are higher than the unstable dangerous temporary metal stairs which are slightly bigger and at least fit my feet size."

And no! I do not have big feet, they are just size 6 feet. -.-;; Anyway, I know I have another thought earlier that I wanted to blog but once again, I forgot what was it about already. *sigh*

Till then...

I wish I had a better title

I should come up with a better title for a post. It should be a "training" of some sort for my job. Hahaha... but I'll save my brain power for tomorrow. Another week of work. I realised what I probably will miss about studying. HOLIDAYS! *pouts* Schooling sister has a week of school holiday to enjoy. *baps ownself* Gosh! Grow up!

I wish my thoughts will appear automatically by itself on the blog. Oh wait, that's not good. *rephrase* I wish I have the power to choose which of my thoughts will appear on the blog, and appears automatically. Why? Because of my random thoughts everywhere. I.e: I thought of something I wanted to write up here while I was in the bathroom and now that I'm in front of the computer I forgot what was it about already. >.< Hmm.. on with the pics.

Doggie with a bone 'magneted' to its mouth. A token of rememberance *did I spelt it right? Yo! Blogger, maybe you can come up with a spell-check function for right-brain centre people like me* anyway, it's from Violet. Off she goes to KL to try her luck and show her skills and talents. All the best to her. Make us Penangites proud! Hahaha...

I attempted to upload the second picture three times and it just wouldn't appear! Why? Blogger Why? By the way, sorry for the last post of saying Mac can't show the picture while I compose and only appear in html format. I have a feeling it was me being stupid and was in Edit Html mode. I'm not too sure. *shrugs* I'll check tomorrow. Gomen gomen. *bows*

A kame Mi-gu! HAHAHAHA... so round and so cute.

A post from the office

Ohayo!
Four minutes to nine. ^^;;
My first ever post from the office.
Wanted to update yesterday night but was watching tv instead.
Kyaaa.. was attempting to post a pic up and realised there are some things missing in blogger when using a Mac.
Those font options up there has disappeared!
Oh no! The picture I've uploaded won't appear.
It came out html coding and the option to view the post in html format is also not here.
-.- I'm not liking Mac very much right now.
Then again, it's been awhile since my post are fully textual without any photos. =^^=
Since I can't do much here, I better go. I'm talking pointless stuff anyway.
Can't wait for lunch time, gonna treat my family Japanese food!
Although mom and dad don't favour it very much but I owe my sister a Japanese meal for a very long time.
I got to try my best to convince my parents that Japanese food can be tasty! p>oOkay, I said I wanted to go didn't I?
*poof*

Just dropping by ...

*waves* I'm alive! Poor blog has been abandoned -.-;; and shall remain abandon for awhile more. I've been taking photos and having thoughts on what to update and blog about but never got the heart to do it whenever I'm home. *sads*

This pic was taken few weeks ago already -.-;; Anyway, I'm just putting it up to annoy Cubbie.. muahaha.. chocolate dip dip.. yummy!

Isn't this just amusing? No fishing. Hehehe.. A sign right in the middle of the ferry terminal. That old green yellow thing in the background is the ferry. You can see cars inside.

Will attempt to update soon. This post is really just a "dropping by" post. Maybe I should switch to Yamapi style again just to get me to update more often again. ^^;;

Got to learn to shut down the brain

Konbanwa.
It rained this morning.
Rain till the ferry service was interupted. T_T
Stood there for half hour with hundreds others waiting for the green light to go onto the ferry.
I guess it's for everyone's safety. Dangerous to go out to sea in such a condition.
Punched my card at 9.04am.
Yokatta! Company gives a 5 mins allowance. \^^/
Anyway, photo blogging this time is my desk.
Boring? Gomen ne.

Little peek to the overall look. Nothing on my job cause I don't want to get fire for leaking company' stuff out. The island is a magazine article... haha.. nothing much. But what's behind the iBook?

A little token from Pauline, fellow trainee. Only spent two weeks with her before she left to continue her studies. So sweet of her. Sankyuu Pauline! Okay, now the other side.

TADA~! For a better view, I shall zoom in! Behold!

Stick on the board is a token from Gary, the A.D. -.-;;
In cantonese "ju pang gao yao" visually translate to the above "piggy + doggy = friends" *sobs* But I insist I'm a mouse!

Kawaii neh? Too bad I don't really have any idea who she is. Anyone knows? This is a gift I got today from Violet, the A.E. ^^ Sankyuu Violet! Hope you feel better. She came this morning with some stomach problem and was getting serious after that and went on M.C for the day. >.<

And that's the end of my desk.
Change of topic and back to the title of the post.
I got to learn to shut down my brain.
As if, I don't already spend enough brain power while working and writing copies. Here's some examples that went through my head while on the ferry back from work.

To the elderly person sitting next to me, was wondering if she's an elderly lady or an elderly man. -.-;; I respect the elders and in no means to be offensive but when people get older, its the usual sign of thin white hair, old wrinkles skin, etc. So, we pretty much look the same when we're old. I guessed she was a lady anyway and confirmed it when we stood up and saw her shoes. You can't go wrong with the shoes. At least, that's what I tell myself inside my head.
To the man walking in front of me. My thought and inner advice to the man, if your hair shows sign of thinning and you're getting bold by day, please don't use so much hair gel then. -.-;;

And so I walked on, see another elderly lady walking in front of me. Then I think, why all elderly ladies clothes are the same kind? Is it something we should wear when we're old? Or is it because that's what they wear back then in those days when they're young and thus feel comfortable in? Etoo... then are we to wear jeans and tees when this new younger generation eventually become the next old generation? Probably not. Then? These trademark old people clothes too? *shrugs*

I really got to stop thinking so much. My thoughts are scarying me.

Hiyashi - shutting off her brain.

The post without a good title

Konichiwa.
Photo blogging again.
Lots of pics, lack of text... hahaha
First off, this was taken from a Japanese newspaper I was umm.. going through last week.

Yup! Kurosagi! *points at the blurry image of Yamapi*
Hahaha... I just realized Yamapi makes quite a few appearances in my blog when he is not my most favourite J.E artiste actually. ^^;
There were a few other Jdorama shown, i.e: Attention Please! Nurse Aoi... etc.

Next! More ferry-trip photos.
First up, by the harbour of Penang.
Yup, look back and took a photo. That is a very dark Penang. *didn't make an effort to install Photoshop therefore photo is not edited at all* ohohoho

That tall little thing sticking out is not Komtar. It is the clock tower... haha

These are where rich people place their yatch whatsoever... haha

As we reach to the other side, land ahoy~! Waiting for the 'bridge' (don't know what exactly the this thing is call -.-) to come down, open the gate and let us through.

Thus, a text minimal post this weekend!

7-11 My favourite numbers for my own reasons

Konbanchiwa!
I never thought I'll be saying this after so many years.
It's been about 5 years already and I had almost forgot about it.
Kinda 'Deja vu' to remember today as SenRu Day.
Got an email saying my old site's guestbook was full, so I went browsing through deleting *cough cough* spams inside.
After that I found myself wondering what happened to SenRu no miko and went searching for her existance on the internet.
Was touched to find her still around and doing minor updates to her "one of the oldest Slam Dunk fansite" recently.
An hour later, I realized it was 11th of July and it was actually SenRu Day.
Call it 'deja vu' but I haven't check on SenRu for almost 2 years at least?
Most of you probably have no idea what am I babbling about.
That's okay, I just want to write this down to remember it myself. ^_^
Sms-ed Cubbie on my way back from work today.
"You reply me so late. I'm already on the ferry on my way back home."
Cubbie replied "What? You sit the ferry to work? Kakkoi!!"
LOL. Thank you Cubbie.
Though travelling like this everyday takes away the 'kakkoi-ness' a little.
I do feel like some healthy Japanese travelling like this to work everyday though.
To honour your compliment of being so cool travelling by ferry, I have taken some photos.
Gomen for the low quality of my camera phone.
Still, I took the effort to stand out like an idiot taking photos as if I'm some tourist yet obviously not. They probably think I'm a crazy girl first time riding on a ferry. *pif*

Reaching the Butterworth jetty *points to the white thingy at the right hand side* That's the Jetty. Wanted to record the entire process where the bridge comes down and we walk across but the man standing next to me keep staring at me and my phone. For god sake, I'm not taking pictures of you. -.-;;

The people. I was one of them before I start standing up and act as 'tourist' taking pictures. If you find yourself inside the picture and want me to take down this photo do let me know. *as if many people reads this blog* LOL

That's it for today.
Once again, Happy SenRu Day 2006!

Hiyashi

Yamapi style blogging is back ^^;;

Konbanchiwa!
Yup, this style of blogging is back for the time being.
It's faster this way, no?
Gomen ne Cubbie-san, bear with me for now.
At least I updated right?
It's been a week of work now, still getting used to it.
Fall sick on the second day ^^;; but got well on that same night as well.
Must be the sudden over usage of brain power since I haven't really been 'thinking' during my one month break before that.
Travelling back and forth by myself is tiring especially with public transport.
But Hiyashi chose this way so am gonna fight-o!
Last Friday at work, Precious One was played over the radio.
I felt like a proud mama then and there.
Message Cubbie-san immediately. ^^;;
Today was a rainy day. >.<
For once, I felt relieved wearing a skirt. ^^;;
The water was up till my knee at the bus stop this morning.
If I were to wear pants today, it would have been a goner.
That's it for today.
Off to get my daily dose of 'food' before going to bed.
*sigh* Tomorrow is another day.

Hiyashi - trying her best

Random blogging

Random blogging no.1
Today, I went over to the shop opposite my house to buy myself a top-up card for my phone. Thanks to the current football craze, the card has a picture of Cristiano Ronaldo. *shrugs* I don't really know who is he *hides* but off I went and read out loud what is written on the card to my dad. "Cristiano Ronaldo, club: Manchester United, Height:1.84m, Nationality: Portugal, ...." I went on and on and suddenly I pause "..." 1 second, 2 seconds, 3 seconds later and exclaimed, "What? He's younger than me!" *dies*

Random blogging no.2
I bought a 'Maru necklace' about two weeks ago. Why is it called 'Maru necklace'? First, the necklace is similar although not exactly the same as the one Nakamaru Yuichi wears. Who is he? Go google! =P Second, it is made out of round black pearls and thus 'maru'!

*insert Japanese lesson*
Maru (丸) = circle, circle is also the symbol of correct for japanese. Yup, they circle instead of tick. So imagine when I took my Japanese lessons, my paper was full of what looks like zero... hahaha..

Back to my Maru necklace. I'm alergic to it! *sobs* I can't always have it on because my neck itches after a few hours having it on. Then again, I still need to take it off everytime I bath so it's not that bad. *sigh* Still, I wish my neck will learn to accept it.

Random blogging no.3
This happened yesterday night. TA-DA! My beautiful monitor screen.
.

Cubbie insist her art still looks pretty in such a condition. dot dot dot!

Random blogging no.4
I went on a mini bus ride adventure today around Penang. LOL. The purpose? To familiarize myself with the route to my workplace. My mom was so worried about it and we even had a screaming competition yesterday because of this but let's not go there. -.-;; So off we went, sitting the ferry and then the bus and walk... and reverse everything back again. Came back an hour ago and here I am now blogging random stuff. ^_^

That's all for today.

"Ka-tak, ka-tak"

I rarely do a double post in one day. I guess today was eventful? ^^;; I officially declare today as Hiyashi being assumed as Crazily Stingy Day! I know that's a lame name but I think the staff at Carrefour and the salesperson around probably do think that way of me. Weee... -.-;;

I went there with my dad this afternoon. He had to go to the post office to pay some bills first. So he gave me twenty cent for the trolly. Yup, instead of one ringgit (since there is no one ringgit coin anymore) it is now twenty cents. Anyway, I went up to the trolly area and attempt to get myself a trolly. I put in the twenty cent into the slot attached to the trolly and pull the chain attaching it to the adjoining trolly but the chain would not come out. I was like 'Hmm... did I not put the coin deep in enough?" and after a few attempts I started to gather stares from the sales people around. Them being not very busy since it is a weekday and not much potential victims were walking around. -__-;; I try to take out the coin which is also impossible and got frustrated.

The problem was I don't have anymore twenty cent coin!! So what did I do? I went to the service counter and of course ask for their "service". The lady at the counter gave a confused stare and talked to the security guy next to the counter. He on the other hand told me he couldn't leave his post and asked me to go asked the other guard standing nearby. -.-;; The other guard however was busy talking to another man. There was two man sitting there in front of tables full of packets of sugar. What the hell, I went up and asked them instead and the man asked me "you want to buy sugar?" -___-;; "No, I want a trolly and your trolly ate my coin and I have none left." What happened next? He went and talked with another lady and a whole bunch of people discussed on that matter. I am now the 'girl who don't have twenty cents to get myself a trolly'. -__-;; It's not like I want to make a big fuss out of twenty cents but I don't have any coins in my wallet. The smallest note I have then was five ringgit. *regretted not getting that change to avoid all the attention* and no.. I'm not rich, I just haven't been out shopping much. Yup, in fact I'm quit poor at the moment. I just finished my studies and am trying my best not to spend anymore money until I officially start working. Blah.

In the end, the "you want to buy sugar" guy came up to me and say they will attend to that trolly later and gave me a twenty cent coin. Wee... off I go and get my trolly and went inside. I didn't even make it very far when my dad tap on my shoulder from behind and stared at my empty trolly. ^^;; Just when you thought it can't get any worst, I got one of the noisiest trolly. "ka-tak, ka-tak" it goes for every turn of the wheel. I'm glad I'm in supemarket and not outside else all the frogs would have come to me. "ka-tak, ka-tak" My dad got really annoyed and asked me why I didn't changed the trolly? -.-;; I just wanted to get away from the trolly area as fast as possible just now and I didn't know it's that noisy until I start pushing it around.

And so, my dad "station" at a place while I go running around looking for the things we were ordered to buy by mom. No pushing = no noise right? LOL. We finally gave up after two items and decide to pay and leave. My dad asked to go get another trolly while he pays. *note: we needed one because we bought rice* So off I went trying be as "quiet" as possible to the trolly area and change for another. As I pushed the 'new' trolly, I went utterly speechless since the trolly did very much the talking again with "ka-tak, ka-tak" and as I came closer to my dad, he asked, "You sure you change another trolly ah?" -____-;;;

Back home.
Mom: What? Two things only ah?

"ka-tak"

Who is the doctor?

I've been reading this book 'Blink - The Power of Thinking without Thinking' by Malcolm Gladwell very slowly... about ten pages per day. Why ten pages per day? Believe me, you don't want to know. ^^;; Anyway to sum it up, the books talks about snap judgements, how effective it can be sometimes compared to serious hours of decision making and yet of cause it's not 100% always the best move as well. Sorry if this bores you right now but I'm getting there.

There is also one chapter, Chapter Three to be precise where it talks about the Warren Harding Error: Why we fall for tall, dark and handsome men. ^^;; Rest assured this is not a lovey-dovey chapter. Instead, it goes to say that most of us have a fix state of mind which is very much influenced by society and how we are brought up, etc. To cut it short, an example given was that most of us confidently say we are not racist nor are we a gender discriminating individual. However, our fixed state of mind gives us an impression of what should be what and what should not. I.E: associating the word "domestic" with the name "Bob", the word "Merchant" with the name "Sally" or even the "black" as "good" and "white" as "bad". All these are proven through experiments according to the book. While reading this, I was doubtful. The inner me was like, 'I don't think so. That's not very true.' You'll probably think so too. I mean we know that black is not necessary means bad right?

Change of topic. I've also been spending the last few days playing around with blogspot's templetes. I want a change but it takes time understanding what's going on inside the coding. -.-;; I have given up a few times already and after awhile feel the urge for the change again and went exploring again. This time it's slightly fruitful. Let's hope I get somewhere this time. ^_^

Why the sudden change of topic? Actually it's just there as a distraction. Back to the book shall we? Well, today I reached page 120 and there was this given situation for readers to consider.

A man and his son are in a serious car accident.
The farther is killed, and the son is rushed to the
emergency room. Upon arrival, the attending doctor looks
at the child and gasped, "This child is my son!"
Who is the doctor?

And so I paused a while and thought about it. 'Eh?' First, I was doubtful with what I read, so I read it again 'A man and his son' not 'A man and a boy'. Okay, there's a catch somewhere I thought and went as far as thinking the doctor was the grandfather and 'his son' is the 'father' that died in the accident. Okay, maybe it's just me being weird to think till grandpa *shrugs* but I just made an automatic assumption that doctors are always men! I soooo... wanted to bang my head against the wall because they aren't always so and of course the doctor was the boy's mother.

T___T Hiyashi is a female and no, I do not have gender discrimination.

'Conversation' blogging part 2

Only one 'conversation' this time. Once again with Cubbie, not surprising since she's the one I chat with almost the whole time I'm ever online. *bows* Arigatou Cubbie-san for spending your time entertaining me and listen to my on and on babbling. Sometimes, I feel the need to control myself and shut up a little. I do attempt to do so... sometimes. ^^;;

Convi 1: Circle of love
(who would have thought Hiyashi and Cubbie talking bout love. The two person who are most unlikely to do so... hahaha)

Hiyashi: >.< I've been fooled by C's bf
Hiyashi: cis cis cis

Cubbie: ara?
Cubbie: wat happen?
Hiyashi: her bf came over
Hiyashi: use her comp and chat with me
Hiyashi: gosh.. when two person are together too long
Hiyashi: they become each other
Hiyashi: cos the style of talking is the same
Hiyashi: that's why i din realized
Hiyashi: i even scroll back after that and see
Hiyashi: memang no diff
Hiyashi: lol
Cubbie: hahhahahahahaha
Cubbie: dot dot!!
Cubbie: ya dats true u know.
Cubbie: hm hm
Hiyashi: yaloo
Hiyashi: proven tonight
Cubbie: ahahha
Cubbie: soon when they're too similar
Cubbie: they'll get bored of each other
Cubbie: then they'll start to change
Cubbie: then will be interesting again
Hiyashi: interesting theory
Cubbie: hahaha
Cubbie: circle of love haha
Cubbie: might be broken someday

Okay. The last sentence hurts but I guess it has some truth in it. Till then, may all couples don't feel dizzy going round and round the circle of love.

Remembering back the things we learned

.
I keep coming into my own blog, stays for awhile and ended up venturing to my friend's blog instead of updating. ^^;; Today Cubbie finally commented "you haven't updated your blog". Although her intentions was for me to fangirl about Kevin Larken together with her but I haven't even met the guy. At least his name appeared on my blog neh Cubbie?

Anyway, this post is just something I read that I want to remember. I just sketch it down on paper since I don't own the book and I bound to lose such a paper sooner or later. So I guess I quote it here. That way I can share it out to others as well.

All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten

  • Share everything
  • Play fair
  • Don't hit people
  • Put thing back where you found them
  • Clean up your own mess
  • Don't take things that aren't yours
  • Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody
  • Wash your hands before you eat
  • Flush
  • Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you
  • Live a balanced life
  • Take a nap every afternoon
  • When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands abd stick together
  • Be aware of wonders - Remember the little seed in the styrofoam cup, the roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that
  • Goldfish and hamster and white mice and even little seed in styrofoam cup, they all die, so do we.
  • And then remember the Dick and Jane and the first word you learned- the biggest word of all, LOOK

Taken from the book "All I need to know I learned in kindergarten" by Robert Fulghum

*shrugs* too bad I don't know the story about Dick and Jane, so I can't really relate to the last one but I really like it. And if you read the book it explains how true all these are. Even as adults, these are really the basic things we need to know. Want to know more, go get the book!

'Conversation' blogging

.
Yamapi style of blogging has come to an end for now but it might come back again in the near future. This time I wanna blog some instant messaging experiences I had within this week. I even insist on fixing up my PC so I get to post this, else I won't be around for over a week. By then, I won't want to blog something that happened two weeks ago.

So here we go!

Convi 1: Save the monitors!
hiyashi: *pouts*
hiyashi: Just the other day I saw a girl moving.
hiyashi: She carry her LCD in one hand and other stuff in the other.
hiyashi: :(
hiyashi: *stares at big bulky monitor*
fangy-kun: ^^;;;
hiyashi: *stares hard* SHRINK!!!!
fangy-kun: You pay 4 times as much for a monitor 4 times as slim. ^^;
fangy-kun: Mass diet program for monitors. @_@
yukira_hiyashi: ...
fangy-kun: Monitors are being starved at factories!
fangy-kun: Save the monitors! X3
yukira_hiyashi: lol
yukira_hiyashi: Furthermore.. we're the one paying for their slimming programs.
fangy-kun: Yes!

Convi 2: Result of studying too much
hiyashi: u finally watch gokusen
hanako: yeaa...now watching~
hanako: hehe..chap3
hanako: hahaha...study 2 much liao...episode 3 i mean~

Convi 3: Blame it on technology
hiyashi: forgive me for typing wrongly
hiyashi: cos i'm seeing things sideways
hiyashi: am lying on the foor d
hiyashi: look so lazy
hiyashi: lol
Cubbie: wahahah i love doing dat
Cubbie: tho da neck hurts
Cubbie: but da body is relaxed
hiyashi: feel like turning the monitor sideways too
Cubbie: SAME
Cubbie: there's this lcd monitor that can do dat
Cubbie: so i can sleep sideways
Cubbie: while watching animes
hiyashi: really???
Cubbie: da monitor will be 90 degrees
hiyashi: cooool
Cubbie: yaya
Cubbie: can rotate
Cubbie: 90 is da max
Cubbie: kenot do 360 loh
hiyashi: dot
hiyashi: u mean 180
Cubbie: ops
Cubbie: yaya
hiyashi: 360 is back the same
hiyashi: dot dot dot
Cubbie: HAHA
Cubbie: this monitor can get ppl more lazy
Cubbie: soon ppl will be doin things just by lying down
Cubbie: like a vege person

In conclusion, people are paying diet programmes for monitor to slim down and have great technologies to turn them into 'vegetables'? What is the world coming to? *sigh*

Last eight hours...

.
Oyasuyo!
It's now 3.30am in the morning.
Genki as ever.
My 'last' meal with my friends before I leave MMU was... Sushi!
Ika wa oishii desu yo!
I should be in bed, leaving here around noon later. *sobs*
Lookies at all those bags of stuff I accumulated during my 'short' stay here.
I've started to learn to shop and buy stuff.
One of my achievement throughout my four years here besides academic wise is...
to learn to be more like a girl and do what girls do... hahaha..
But I'm still me no matter how I changed.
The original Hiyashi can't be moved, am heavy as a pebble. LOL.
ROCK desu! ROCK!
I promise the next post will go back to the normal style of posting or at least it will be in paragraphs. *sticks tongue out*

Testo! Testo! (cont.)

Ohayo minna!
Benkyou benkyou.
I'm up while my two other roomies are still in their dreamland.
Aren't I hardworking? *shameless* LOL
Then again, I'm slacking off by being here typing this.
Gosh, such posting is really way too genki neh?
I'm gonna piss Cubbie for being so genki... haha..
Positive desu!
I told Fangy-kun about a saying "help yourself before helping others"
Then I realized I just made that up. LOL.
Am still annoyed with my disappearing post yesterday.
This post will make more sense if that post is around.
Cheah-san, ganbatte neh! STOP GOING BACK TO BED.
This time I'm gonna time myself since I'm sure I'll update again today.
I'll just edit this post then.

Hiyashi at 10.55am

Huaaa.... exam is over!
Lazy hiyashi wanna continue to blog this way.
Rational proper freak hiyashi wants it to go back to the rational proper style.
Crazy hiyashi thinking whether to make two seperate blogs to differentiate both style.
Stern and serious hiyashi knows it's not a good idea cos lazy hiyashi will ignore rational proper hiyashi and thus the other blog will be left abandon.
Hiyashi is still pondering.

huaaa.. I wrote and wrote and publish but it's not there!
It's not there!!!!

Where's my konbanchiwa post?
Was I too genki that blogspot refuse to post it up?
Was it cos I was making fun of someone.. well more than one.. -.-;; that it refuse to publish itself?
There goes my post.. -.-;;
Am not re-writting back what I've just wrote.
This day shall be forgotten.
Guess I was punished by blogspot for not doing what I'm suppose to do (studying) and instead doing this.
Kyaaa.. the sound of thunder.
I better go. *sobs*

ps: I refuse to delete the empty entry below this to remind me of this incident. CISSSSS...

Another konbanchiwa post!

Second post of the day

.
Konbanwa!
Surprisingly I'm back for the second time today.
I guess that's the best part of blogging this way.
Cheah-san asked "fast food or chinese food for dinner?"
Since I've spent too much money shopping on Friday, I said "chinese food!"
So off we went to the hawker center in Puchong.
Here's what I had for dinner.
Bak kut teh - RM 8.70 O.o;;
A glass of cincao - RM 1.00
Fried Mushrooms - RM 4.00
which brings us a total of RM13.70!
Where did I get the idea of hawker food being cheap anyway? -.-;;
Can't wait to go back hometown and eat a RM 4.00 delicious bak kut teh.
Okies... benkyou benkyou! Yosh!!

Hiyashi.

Blogging Yamapi Style

.
Sudden urge to blog yamapi style. ^^;;

Konbanchiwa!
Woke up at 12 in the afternoon, aren't I a lazy bum? *blushes*
But that's what you get if your daily sleeping time is around 3am - 4am. o.O;;
I haven't even brush my teeth yet and here I am sitting in front of the computer being silly.
But blogging is not silly right?
Vegetarian food today... weee....
Okay, there's not much choice to eat in campus on a Sunday.
Loves vegetarian food.. just not everyday.. hahaha..
Blogging yamapi style is so different from how I usually blog.
Blogging this way makes others know more about me neh?
Is this what I want from blogging?
I want to share my experience and thoughts actually.
I might keep this up for a while.
Hiyashi tries everything! Yosh!
I can really blog a lot this way... haha.
Ja minna!

Hiyashi.

Mind your Language

.
'Mind your language' is an old tv series about a English teacher teaching a bunch of foreigners English, resulting in hilarious situations. I probably watch it at least three times throughout my soon to be twenty-two years of life. It never fails to crack me up.

Why did I suddenly brought this up? That is because I wanna honor MK Cubbie to be able to understand the inside joke and laugh along with me when I said "Yes please" and even responded back "jolly good". *huggles Cubbie*

That's probably my first sting on my slight obsession on languages. Imagine I renamed my little teddy bear to "Jolly Good" due to the influence and that was when I was back in primary. After ten years of being called "Hug your bear" it finally changed its named to "Jolly Good". On a side note, Jolly Good is as old as me. Nooo.. it's not black and stinky. *insist on that*

Anyway, enough with the sentimental moment. ^^;; I'm done with my FYP (Final Year Project) Yay! I feel empty. It's like everything is coming to an end. My university life! There's only two more weeks of that. *clings to my hostel bed* I don't want to leave! To think that four years ago I was clinging to a bed back at home in Butterworth. *sigh* time flies and this paragrahy turns out to be even more sentimental and emotional than the one up there. So I'm going to stop before I start writing a sad tragic story and make everyone cry. *baps myself* That's not going to happen.

Lastly, gosh this post is such a mixture of everything.

An early greeting to mama, Happy Mother's Day!
Though I don't show it obviously, love you lots. *chuu*

Venturing into the altar of food...

.
First, I like to express something. "My blog deserves an update!" T__T *sorry bloggie*

I was room-alone today since both my room mates went back home, so I was thinking if I should go downstairs and buy lunch or just dig into my altar of food *scroll down to read previous post for those who doesn't know what is my altar of food*. Anyway, venturing into my altar of food... I found the greatest discovery of all --> Mother's LOVE.

You might think a big packet of Milo has only lots of tiny sachets of Milo inside.. but NO! not with my mom.. Here's what is inside my suppose to be Milo packet.

Just the Milo itself, there are three kinds of it! Normal Milo, Milo with oats inside, Milo high in calcium. ^^;; Then there's two different Quakers. Tea.. well there's chinese herbal tea, Lipton tea, barley tea.. @__@ Amazingly, there's only two kinds of coffee in there. There's probably two reasons to that. One, being I probably drink up most of the coffee.. since we all know how I favour caffeine over alchohol anytime. Second, my mom probably knows that as well and was concerned about my health, thus lessen the supply of coffee. *sticks tongue out* This goes to show how great a mother's love is.

My venturing didn't end there.. Let's proceed to the instant noodle department. LOLz. Now tell me where to find a pack of instant noodles that has four different flavour and brand all in one?

Cintan, Maggi, Ruski. Asli, Ayam, Tomyam.

Okay, all these food is making me hungry. I'm going to take a bath and then go down stairs to buy lunch. And you ask, "What the? ... " At least, I know I'm loved... in a funny kind of way.

Hot weather poem

.
Back with the poem... T__T

Campfiring Gods
By Hiyashi

The gods are having a campfire
Up there they gather
Happily together
Totally forgetting how they affect the weather
Of the world down under
Pity us for having to suffer
But greedy we must not ever
Gods deserve enjoyment like any other
Therefore, we shall wait patiently for it to get better

*waits patiently*

I want...

.
I want to blog but the only word keep surfacing in my brain is "HOT" hot hot hot. The weather is so hot that everyone is not in their right state of mind, not that they were in the first place. *shrugs* I keep type and delete, type and delete... because I can't seem to form a proper sentence to express what I want to say. In fact, I'm not sure what I wanted to say in the first place. @__@ I want to go open Microsoft Word and attempt to write a poem. *hot weather makes people do crazy things*

*sniff sniff* Mind you, I'm not crying *sniffs*

.
Argh.. I'm sick! Yukira down. -_-;; Well, down with a flu. No thanks to the Terengganu trip with my coursemates. I'm not complaining about the trip, it was much better than I would have expected. However, as my lecturer said, we can plan but only god decides. Therefore, it rained, rained and rained. It was not pouring heavily but I didn't see sun for that three days there. Ironically, the rain tend to stop everytime we are on the bus and starts to drizzle everytime we are about to get down the bus. By the time we start walking around, it rains. T_T It was a damp experience. *sniffs* Now, I sound like I'm sobbing all day long. *sniffs*

~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-

Today's class was about 'Tones' expressed with words and images. We are to write a short paragraph using a specific tone on anything. Here's what I wrote:

"It's frustrating when you are not doing what is suppose to be done. I know I have to do it, so why can't I just get it done? Argh, the lack of motivation is killing me! Why, why, WHY?! I really must get started with it tonight, TONIGHT!"

Obviously, I'm FRUSTRATED! And guess what! It's 1.30am now and I haven't done anything beneficial just yet. *goes to a corner and mourn*

What am I doing at 1am in the morning? Take a photo of my altar. My great ALTAR of FOOD. *sweatdrop* Thanks to my friend Cubbie, who sent a photo of her 'altar' to me (note: altar = stuffs on our hostel shelves), I took a photo of my 'altar' which is where I store all my food and sent back to her. Thus, altar of food. -_-;; I pray to food. *speechless*

Here's the photo.

My vitalite glows! LOL.*sniffs* Oyasumi.

Remembering my 'knocking' experiences

.
Just this morning, I knock my head slightly on the computer table when I bent down to scratch my leg. *blushes* It was a soft hit but it made me realized how I tend to knock my head in the most outrageous ways. Thanks to the constant knocking, I think I lost some of my memories since I now only remember two of the worst knocking incidents I have encountered.

Incident 1:
Happened when I was living in an apartment with my friends. After done bathing, I changed right in the bathroom. Once again, I bent down to wear my pants and *bish* I hit my head against the edge of the sink in front of me. =_=;;

Incident 2:
Happened in the same apartment. I was sending a friend off and silly me decided to bow *don't know why I was so polite that day* but thanks to my sudden politeness *bish* I hit my head against the grill door in front of me. =_=;;

Sigh. I think I have problem measuring distance? I probably shouldn't bend so much.

ps: dear tomodachi, if anyone remember my other 'knocking' experiences, please let me know. *swt*
