Sniffing My Way Through The Day...

...is dem annoying!!

And having tears coming down naturally from your sickly eyes is even more the killer. Boo hoo hoo!

"Jo, why are you crying?"
"I'm not!"
*all tearing and oh so not convincing*

Yesterday, I came home thinking to whine about not feeling well but instead I was greeted with an unwell dad and an even more sickly mama. -.-;; And the fan wasn't even switched on! I even have to wash the dishes after dinner. That explains a lot.

And I'm stubborn. It's approximately 10 days to my Two Years MC-Free Record. Yes I take this little achievement seriously. Just like when I didn't skip school for the whole three years since Form 1.
I boast around about it. Though people just think I'm silly that way. My dad gives me the nods. *Dad Approved!* Right dad? *Note: Dad reads bloggie* The record kinda shattered after I entered Form 4 though. But hey they don't call it honeymoon year for nothing. Heh. Excuse. =P

I don't know what else to say. Though I think being sick takes me away from all my usual stuff and thus, miraculously more time for blogging. *blinks* STILL! I don't want to be sick lah. *sniff sniff* *sob
sobs* HAA-CHOOO! Wow, that feels good. *blushes*

Ain't feeling good today

Hiyashi ain't feeling good today. Woke up to a headache that keeps on banging my head. T__T My throat's sore again. My mom's worried and I'm refusing to see a doctor about a buldging symptom. Yes. I avoiding. But gosh there's so many things else to worry about these days. Like tomorrow.

Another battle awaits. When will the war be over?

Brain Drain, Spirit Low, Determination High

Using the brain is tiring. Using it day and night, before, during and after work. It drains a lot out of someone. My brain has been doing lots of OT-ing these few weeks. Planning sucks. And when what you've planned hits a roadblock, it's simply frustrating and you feel sorry for your brain.

The bed is a nice place to be at the moment.

Hiyashi on TV!

Remember my attempt for my 15 minutes of fame HERE?

Hah! It happened!

Well, not exactly 15 minutes. *sheepish smile* Gosh, I think barely made pass 15 seconds worth of fame but it happened! I watched with my hands over my eyes. Yup, the type where the fingers are all spread out with gaps all over, the "paiseh but still wanna see" kind. I was soooo worried I made a fool out of myself there. But I guess TV3 are full of kind-hearted souls that edited what I think are the good sides of us many hopefuls. Nothing dramatically bad or embarassing for any of us I must say. Maa maa deshio.

And my mom keep on saying "You're on TV!"

Heh.

Yup. It might not be 15 minutes nor am I sure if I made it pass 15 seconds, expressing what I thought after the audition like that but I can proudly put it down in my list of things I have done in attempt to show my existance to world.

Gotten my name on the newspaper before, got my face up on tv, got my thoughts up on the Internet. Hmmm... next up, my voice on radio?

DREAM BIG in small ways.

It works!

********

ps: No clip yet. Doubt there will be. Promise I'll post if I have the clip.

pps: No harm promoting something you were so eagered to be an ambassador for in the first place. So here it is, linkie to webbie.
My Aussie Adventure. Watch it. Every Sunday, 7.30pm on TV3! *winks* Too bad I'm not the one hosting it for ya! XD

Hiyashi Bakes pt02

Visual Proof! Hiyashi did baked Chinese Chicken Buns last Saturday. The result? Umm... let us put that on hold for now.

Step 01: Sift flour.
Note how small that penapis is? My brain cannot process what is the name of the utensil at the moment. Am close to closing my eyes due to the accumulative late nights. Anyway, dad said "we're doing it the manual way, almost ancient." There is a bigger "sifter" in the house but mom wasn't around and we're clueless about this kind of stuff, so... old traditional method then.

Step 02: Yeast, sugar and water GROW GROW GROW!
It's amazing I tell you, seeing it foaming up like that. At first I was wary about it, how is it possible? I don't believe lah. But it grew on its own. Yeast dear readers is an amazing amazing thing.

Step 03: Pour in the flour and kneed kneed kneed...

This is the part I didn't do properly that cost me dearly in the end. T_T *sobs*

Step 04 - 06: Let the Pao take its form!

I forgot to take pictures at this point. The dough was left to grow. That was when I escape off to make this post instead. And then cooked the filling. Let me tell you the filling was de.li.cious.!

See that ugly shaped pao on the top right hand corner, that was done by my dearest imouto-chan. HAHAHA... shoo her away after that and force her to help me take pictures instead. I obviously make better looking pao than her. =P

Step 07: Steam the funny looking paos!
Here's when the excitement died and the disappointment kicks in. Eh, my pao really look not bad weh. So what gone wrong? The pao lah! The dough, the flour, the bun. HAHAHAHA... Kneeding is very important. No one told me that. I curi tulang a bit only, the dough didn't made it through. My dad said when you kneed, the air then seeps into the dough. Kneeding is what makes it fluffy. =.=;; Why awal-awal tak cakap?

But honestly, you see for yourself. Look not bad right?

My dad called these "Punishment Paos". That's the strategy to sell these paos. Little kids who are naughty shall be punish by eating these paos. Aww... heart-breaking ain't it?

And when came Sunday morning, those who woke up early got to eat yummy dumplings, those lazy sleeping ones who woke up late got punished and ate "Punishment Paos" instead.

As evil as dad was in naming the pao, he did gave some consoling words.

Dad: You think make pao so easy ah. Then the boh-cheng-saa (aka shirtless man) sell pao fellow mah no business loh!

Dad has a point. I shall attempt again.

Long long time from now.

Hiyashi Bakes pt01

I'm making pao! Chinese Pork Buns. Okay, maybe not pork. Chinese Chicken Buns. Now that doesn't sound very Chinese. XD

The dough is growing. It's GROWING.

2 TIMES ITS ORIGINAL SIZE!!

I can't wait. *shivers in excitement*

Vitamin C vs Vitamin P²

Hah. And I thought all I needed was Vitamin C. Boy was I wrong.

Getting Vitamin M, then find a Vitamin C? Life was, is and never will be that simple. No Siree. Found your Vitamin C? You got to make sure Vitamin C got enough Vitamin M within itself and more importantly the essential Vitamin P² that is greatly dear to us.

That’s right. In this metaphoric world I have just created since this last post, we are all Vitamic Cs to one another. It’s sad if you’re not a Vitamin C to someone and equally heartbreaking to not have any Vitamin C to call your own.

And every Vitamin C came from a set of Vitamin Ps. Vitamin Ps are where Vitamin P² comes from. In other words, the source! And without it, Vitamin C can’t react to form a chemical reaction strong enough to make a difference. Without Vitamin P², at this very moment Vitamin C is pretty much rendered useless.

Obstacle 02: Vitamin P² Solved!
