Good Bye 2007. Hello 2008.

I made it through the year with 58 posts. That's a smaaaaaall number compare to many but it's an improvement from last year with only 41 posts. That's an average of 1.5 post extra for every month. A small pat on my back but I know I can do better.

So let us review the year shall we?

January
The Memorable: Lo and Behold. They came all the way from Japan. Got myself a belated Christmas gift which I simply adore. Gave myself nothing this Christmas. Regretting now... but it might not be too late still.

February
The First: Can't remember anything in particular. Ah... except many it's my first Chinese New Year since I got my job and therefore, "self-sponsored" new year clothes. Hehehe...

March
The Funnies:
For the first time in my life, I wanted to delete my hair. Yikes, someone help me!

April
The Shock: Who can forget one of the fake life-threatening scare of the year for fellow Malaysians, and more specifically for the kiasi Penangites. Yup, it's the Bomb Scare Incident which so helpfully made my trip home so much more 'eventful'. Not to mention two and a half hours long. -.-;;

May
The Usual:
I got honoured. Enough said. =P

June
The Uneventful: Hmm?

July
The Day:
3 July 2007. Copywriter One Year Anniversary. Ah, the thought of it... time flies. If you don't mind me asking, how's work today?

August
The Month:
Probably the most happening month of the year for me. What with me "meeting the king" and all. Also the significant 2nd anniversary of hiyashibeeps. Dear bloggie, you have gone through with me as well as on your own. For 2008, let's continue to fighto oh!

September:
The Growth:
Eeeeeeekk... I grew older. @__@

October:
The Transformation:
At least I was brave enough to try. The courage I had hidden within me was released as I transfer from being weird to looking weird. *sigh*

November:
The Flight:
The Fright! Ah... the price for being kiam siap is to be boh kiasi. Looking back at this month's post just reminded me I owe my blog a lot. A LOT MORE POSTS that is. *guilty as charged*

December:
The Record:
58 posts for the year. 8 posts for the month. 4 continuous posts on Christmas. Ooo... but the ultimate record I haven't achieved for a loooong time is... *drums roll* Zero MCs from work. At least as far as I remember I only took leave from work, not medical ones. *recalls* And the last time I held such a record was in secondary school from Tingkat 1 up to Tingkat 3. For 3 years I was never absent from school. Something I brag about a lot. *blushes* Though during Tingkat 4 I went a little extreme, from no absence to skipping school... but but... friend friend all not going, it was almost pointless to be in school.

And that marks the end of a wonderful and eventful 2007.

Good Bye 2007. Hello 2008.

Editing Nostalgia

This is bad. I have no idea what to blog about today. I finally have some extra time under my fingers to sit down and slowly type an entry but here I am without a slightest idea what to babble about.

What to do? What to do?

I go into my list of posts and dig out a draft post. That's what I can do. HAHAHA...

Therefore today's post is going to be...

'My' Old Bus

Yup. I use the claim "my" very loosely. Buses that take me to work every day are called "My Bus". As most of you probably know, RapidPenang is currently on its quest in improving the public transport of Penang.

Gone are the days where I sat stinky old buses to work. And that is if I'm lucky enough, then I actually get to sit. Worst case, usually on the way home, I practically can wave Hi to the vehicle beside as I squeezed dangerously close to the stairway up the bus. >__<

That does not mean I don't value the old bus. Afterall, that old bus gets me to work and back everyday for slightly over a year.

Slight Gratitude and Appreciation is definitely called for.

But...

Now I have OPTIONs!

Once in awhile, as I wait for the bus to take me home. I silently hope its the new bus that comes. But whenever it's the old bus greets me, I'm more than happy to get on.

Hey, at the end of the day I just want to go home, okay?

But just the other day as I sat there on the old bus... I feel nostalgic. Ya.. sappy I know. Feeling mushy over an old stinky bus. But I did, and that's when I took the photo above.

Old and worn but rest assured KGN-HIN Bus, you'll always have a place inside my heart. The memories we share will always remain dear to my heart.

And so this post is a tribute to the old stinky bus
I hate to love so much.

Another Post on Christmas?!?

Uwaah! Updates have been happening tiny wee bit more often these few days no? Must be the Christmas spirit rubbing on me. Hah! 3 continuous post on Christmas. I say that's a pretty big deal for someone who's not really a Christian nor celebrate Christmas. And here I thought Wrapping Up Christmas brings an end to the whole X'mas Marathon.

But no Siree.
Christmas might be over but the joy of giving still lives on.

For even after Christmas, I received this

A Percussion Frog
At least according to this site, that's what it is called. Though I actually randomly googled for "wooden croaking frog" Heh. It's a gift from the boss. All the way from Bangkok, this little froggy came hopping. Was told to used it while we think for ideas, and boy was the studio "croaking loud" upon receiving the gift.

Why?

Because we got them in various sizes.

It's a wonder how they make these stuff. The biggy froggy was croaking like a big toad while the tiny froggy was croaking in such a high pitch, almost like a cricket.

Today was the second day of croaking and I think we are beginning to annoy the rest of our colleagues already.

But HEY! Frogs are Made for Croaking!

*winks*

Wrapping Up Christmas

Earrings, phone pouch, socks, photo frames, towel, chocolates...
and
a special 3D Christmas Tree Card from Cubbie
make a wonderful Christmas.

Although Christmas Eve was spent in the dark...

...but who cares? It's Christmas! And technology rules. Even in the dark, Christmas songs still play in the background as we chew peanuts through the night.

>O<

I guess, one more last time for 2007.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Wrapping Frenzy

"Got wrapper ah?"

"Yo... yo... yo!" Cik Anai begins a "rapping" frenzy.

That was few days before. Right now. At this moment. Its WRAP! WRAP! WRAP!

Last minute wrapping. Am sitting on the floor. Wrap! Wrap! Wrap! And when I got up. Leg numb. -.-;; Apa ni? Ini sign of tak cukup senaman, tak sihat.

And the Countdown begins!

It's 10 Days away from Christmas, which means it's 17 days away from the new year, which also means it's time for presents and new year resolutions.

Ahh.. the dilemma. *grins*

Gone with "Fikirkan Boleh" and time for some "Silent Night". Song taken from the drama House M.D. with Hugh Laurie aka Dr House playing on the piano. So nice hoh? It's a must watch show! Must watch!

Oh, may January come earlier.

Came in early to work a few Saturdays ago and guess what greeted me as I stepped into the office. *smiles*

After last week, I should probably update this picture with one full with presents.

XD

If you think you can, you can

Today Hiyashi shall take you down memory lane. If you're as old as me *cough* You'll know the song playing at the background right now. My sister on the other hand, is totally clueless about the song.

It all started...

En Skim B : Can do anot? Can give me on Monday ah?
Cik Datang: If you think you can, you can.
En Skim B : *sings as he walks away* Jika kau fikirkan boleh...
Hiyashi : *perks up* This song!

And thus, this post!

Fikirkan Boleh
by Metropolitan

Jika kau fikirkan kau boleh
Kau hampir boleh melakukan
Jika kau fikirkan ragu-ragu
Usahamu tidak menentu

Jika kau fikirkan kekalahan
Kau hampiri kegagalan
Jika kau fikirkan kemenangan
Kau hampiri kejayaan

Engkaulah apa kau fikirkan
Terkandung dalam pemikiran
Kau fikir boleh melakukan
Fikirkan boleh

Percaya apa kau lakukan
Tabah apa kau usahakan
Bertindak atas kemampuan
Engkau boleh

****************

You are who you think you are. You can do it.

Cheers!

Me Big!

Tinki recommended a quiz.

Hiyashi took the quiz.

Quiz thus proves Hiyashi is an eldest child inside out.

Quiz Result as per below:

Hiyashi, your position as eldest child shows most strongly in your self-esteem.
Hmm... I guess I carry myself pretty well.

Similar to other eldest children, you are probably in tune with who you are and what you want.
I know who I am and I know what I want, it's the getting what I want that is the problem.

You are conscious of your limitations but you are more aware of your positive qualities.
Hmm... true. I'm not perfect but overall, I'm not bad. Right?

Being the eldest child put you in a leadership role. To sustain this position, you learned at a young age how to leverage your positive qualities, or things you were better at than your younger siblings, to your advantage.
What to do? I got to set good example, maintain the big sister image for her to look up to wat. It's call healthy competition. It makes her more determined, right dad? =)

This natural, though possibly unconscious, insight into your own personality enabled you to obtain whatever you set your sights on.
I believe the thing about obtaining whatever I set my sights on is because I am not greedy. So when I seek it, I... well, have a higher chance in getting it. Almost.

People tend to enjoy your company because you are confident and have a positive outlook on life.
People, what say you?

Now, it is only fair to post the link to share this little online enjoyment.

Take the Birth Order Quiz

Be warned, it's a 10-page long quiz. But they are only simple MCQs, so do go ahead. I would like to know your results. I keh poh. Hehehe..

edited: Tinki says I'm not necessarily that big woh.
