When Smart + Smart doesn't necessarily equal 'Smarter'

The long overdue post is back. Yes. It's been more than a month. In fact, "whooosh!" and just like that we're more than half way through 2012. Well, this post is about one of the many little 'important' days to me.

Yes. It is the day I became... not just smart!

But Smart + Smart.

How's that for progress?

You see. After more than 10 years of being red, I finally switched to yellow.
Oh yes, I made the 'smarter' choice. Or so they claimed. Personally, I don't think it's really a 'smart' choice because quite frankly it loses big time to red in terms of connectivity,
but it is really affordable.

And that is a BIG plus for me.

Because I live and breathe prepaid since I got my very first mobile phone when I was seventeen. And after 10 long years, I have reached the point where I am no longer even constrained by credit expiry. Yes, my lovely red offered me year-long credit validity. How cool is that? Very Cool. Except, my lovely red has a very expensive green partner. So I made the 'smarter' choice and went with yellow instead.

But it's not just that that matters.

If you ask me a few years ago, back when 'switching' means 'changing your number',
I would have never taken that leap of faith. So that's another BIG BIG plus for me.

So what's with all these change we're talking about? Why now?

Because of this!
Before you go all "S2?!? Girl, it's S3 now!" Yaadaa yaadaa yaadaa.
Save your breath. It's my choice anyway. Not gonna justify it either.
*shrugs*

This is a 'big' leap for me already, okay?

After all, lookie at my old phone.

Ah. My simple ice-cream phone. So pink on its own.
Gotta take a picture and remember it as my 3rd phone.
The 1st that I'd bought with my own hard earned money.

Now the funny thing was, my new s2 was way bigger than my ice-cream,
so there's no way it could fit into my little knitted-bag. So I went on a hunt inside
my room in attempt to find some means of protection for my new phone.

And I found this!
A little pink bag that just managed to snug it perfectly.
So the 'pink' lives on!

I threaded the rest of the week with caution as I have yet to buy any cover for my phone. PSP-san, as resourceful as ever when it comes to all things gadgety, presented a cover for my phone "just to get by, until you buy one." It's a little dirty for being kept in a corner for too long but it's still a cover nonetheless!

BUT!!

Why is it pink too?!? Hahaha.
And you see that little cloth on the bottom right there, that's pink too.
It was a complimentary piece from the salesgirl when I bought my screen protector. I guess when she saw my pink-inspired phone, she naturally chose pink for me too.

No. Pink is not my favourite colour.
All these pink were not chosen by me anyway.

So what did I choose then?

*slaps herself on the forehead*

I had no idea how I ended up with flowery pattern instead.

Sometimes, I don't understand myself either. LOL.

Stuck Again?!?

Here's a new introduction to Hiyashibeeps...

*drumrolls*
.
.
.

The Blog that's Stuck in Time.

Honestly, I thought I'll end up skipping the entire month of May but fret not!
I am here to save myself and my dear blog.

Now to catch up with life. Let's see.

Office Moving Day happened.

And yes, I blogged about packing, I blogged about more packing and then stop! Hahaha. So what happened? We moved and OMG! has been working in the new office for... more than a month now?! Wow! We just passed our one month anniversary on Wednesday.

So how does the new office freaking looking like anyway?

Sadly, I don't have the interest to do a lengthy post on that now that the excitement has died down but here's a little peek. I'm not that heartless to leave people hanging just like that.

Yeah right.

Behold! This is the view from my 'window'.

Why yes, I see a bushy little hill across me every day. Well at least for most of the time, whenever the little hill is sitting tall enough or is not away to somewhere else. Ironically since little bushy hill might not always be there. Mr IdunTalkMuch dengan senyap-senyapnya offered another view of nature for all to share.

A little ball of green that calls itself 'Marimo'.
Apparently, it actually grows which in my opinion is just a tad freaky.
God knows what it's up to at night while we are away. *shivers*

Well, that's about it for the new office. As for the L.E.P.A.K series, I have a feeling I'm in denial that the series is coming to an end and am delaying my posting on purpose. At least that's what I suspect. I also have a feeling that the next time I will be seeing you here is in June. Hahaha.

Then again, I'm 'full' of surprises. =P

WE ARE MOVING YO!

We're just one day away from MOVING DAY!

Unlike last week, we're no longer sitting in a store room.
Today it seems we're sitting among 'well' labelled boxes. Yes! Studio is now known as Area No.5. Now Mr IdunTalkMuch may not necessarily express himself with words a lot but he's sporting enough to participate in his own 'expressive' way.

This goes out to Tinki who personally requested to keep her updated on the progress.
While others are moving, she looks like she's migrating. o.O;;

And this goes out to Ms 'Loon' June who left her 'crap' behind
while she enjoy-enjoy in Australia.

Here's another box of Mr Skimmer Dude's shit (his own words)
He's delusional enough to think anyone would ever want to steal it.

Introducing Ms Beauty.
(It's not about vanity, she's just a very very crazy Beast fan. FYI, Beast is a korean
idol group and their fans are vain enough to call themselves Beauty. =P)

The peeps at Area 1 posing one for the camera.

Look at what was found. Little Tinki! *snickers*

A proud mama!

And finally we arrived at Area No.6.

Here's Ms Bee posing for the camera.
I can just hear Mr Skimmer Dude complaining, "Why girls ask to pose for the camera
only will automatically do the VVVVVV sign?!" Hahaha.

And we're back at Area No.5. There you have it, 5 Sekawan Minus 1
Ironically, the missing one's paper was stuck in a different direction from the rest. Hehehe.

Here's one more with me wanting to be in the picture yet
not waiting to be in the picture. Women. Fickle minded creatures we are.

 Alright. That's about it.

Bye yo!

Go, Going, GONE!

Remember Lights, Camera, Reflector from last week?

Take a look at the background and everything around Mr IdunTalkMuch
and PSP-san. Noticed how fun-filled the entire place is with Astro Boy standing tall against
a whole bunch of other 'ornaments'? Or what I call 'ting-ting-tang-tang'.

Noticed how we build paper forts around us?

Well, they're all gone now. :(

All that's left is a cup of teh-ping on the shelf and
a packet of Tinki's only edible food from her desk.

This was last Tuesday before we went off on our one-day public holiday
in conjunction with our Agong's installation which also happened to be the day
the tremors of the earthquake in Acheh was felt in Penang.

Empty magnet board with no 'ting-ting-tang-tang' whatsoever.

A tad sad looking don't you think?
So cold, without any personal warmth.

Well, if you think that's sad...

We came back on Thursday to THIS.

SPOT THE DIFFERENCE YO!

It's Gone!

Our hanging cabinets are gone!

Too bad we only remembered to take some photos after we cleaned up and settled down in our now very empty looking studio. When we came in the morning, our room looked... well, like it was indeed struck by an earthquake. o.O;; Drawers on the floor. Boxes tucked under the tables. With dust, dust and more dust everywhere!

With boxes stacked up in a corner behind us (you can't see them in this picture)
and lines of leftover dried glue sticking on the walls, we pretty much look like
we're working inside a storeroom at the moment.

:(

BUT!

The good news is that it's only for a week!

Because all this little 'sacrifice' is for our new office.

Yup. Next time, you'll be seeing a not-very-different (because let's face it,
we're pretty much moving ourselves from here to there, so you'll be seeing the same stuff in a different manner only. hehe.) office backdrop for any future work-related posts.

 In other words,
WE ARE MOVING!

Out With The Old And In With The New!

That's exactly what one should do to greet the new year.
And that's exactly what we did at home.

.
.
.

Our old, worn and humble sofa that has served us not that well for many years.
If you think this is just a sad sight to behold, you will be glad to know that I have decided against posting the three-seater one. Hahaha. After editing the photo, I feel a tad bit embarrassed over it. So nope, not posting that up.

So the story begun months ago when mom finally urged dad to
"For god sake, buy a new sofa set!"

It was decided then that a new sofa we shall get except all of us kind of procrastinated
till the max. So there was no sight of a new sofa set for another few months until...
OMG! It's December! Hahaha. And finally, dad gave himself a deadline to get a new sofa set before the new year.

Three weeks ago, we finally stop sitting on the job and instead sat on what was going to be our new sofa set. It was told that a newly manufactured one will be delivered to us in two weeks time. So we waited. And waited. And then we called. "Where on earth is our sofa?"
And then we complained. And then to cut the story short.

It finally came yesterday night.
Delivered at 8.30pm at night yo!

Hooray! New sofa in sight.

New sofa trying to make its way through the doors.

New sofa landed safely into the living room.

New sofa gets an unofficial opening ceremony.

TADAAAA!!
Brand new pretty, comfy, 'luxurious' sofa. :)

Good bye poor old stuffy sofa. :(

And now I can finally show you our three-seater sofa.
Pretty right? Hahaha. Maybe a tad too pretty for everything else in our living room.

*shrugs*

Oh well. It's a beautiful start.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
