The "Ironicity" of Innit

Was posting my latest entry up to innit which I haven't been doing for awhile. As I type, type and type, eventually I came to the verifying part of the process.

*blinks*

*blinks again*

Here I was posting an entry on shopping and spending money. And here dear innit requested for the input of the word "gains".

Ah, the stab! The evil coincidence! The shame!

*am all dramatic*

Gee... thanks for the reminder, Innit. (-__-);;

And this is not the first time Innit managed to amuse me.
My First Time with Innit.
Uwah, it's dated back in February last year. Awww... the memories.

I'm Poofed! or is it I'm Pooped?

Either way. I'm tired out.

Shopping is way tiring then working. Physically.
Working on the other hand, kills mental power. (-_-);;
But...
.
.
.

To "Bijak Berbelanja" needs equal mental power. *grins*

Plan Ahead. Be Prepared.
Leave was taken a week earlier for this.
Boss might not be pleased. Yikes.

But, my first half of the afternoon was spent in the bank, all hungry and a tad poorer / richer at the same time.

Shopping was just a plus, okay?

Member Day woh. 80% Off woh.
It almost annoyingly sounded like a pasar malam in JUSCO.

JUSCO wei! (-_-);;

*******

And to sum it up...

I'm a daddy's girl.

Bijak berbelanja... just like dad.

*grins*

No News is Not Good News

Mah, I got to "gao tai" a bit here because Someone expects an update here after a weekend. *bows* Gomenasai. But no update last weekend because I've been up to something. *grins* And no, I won't tell and no, you will never know!

Hmmm... and this post is pretty pointless like this.
So let me dig out some evidence of pure procastination
to make up for it.

*points to the date of the photo*
I'm kinda hopeless in this blogging thingy, I know.

*sigh*

A Japanese Summer: Chapter Six (i)

Continuing from where we left off one month ago. (-_-);; It's finally a day out in Kyoto! Though we started the day venturing to the outskirt of town, to the famous temple of foxes aka kitsune. Anime and Japan fans would probably be very familiar with that word.

If you're an anime fan, you'll probably remember how Sakuragi name-called Rukawa as "Baka kitsune" or if you're a fan of Japanese food, you'll probably came across "Kitsune Udon" in the menu. And, NO! There's no fox meat in that soup of noodle. It seems like one of the main ingredient, the aburaage is a favourite among foxes, and thus the name. ^^;;

I kid you not, google it yourself if you don't believe me.

TAA-DAA!

This is a Shinto shrine. And a Shinto shrine does not have a monument or statue like a Buddhist temple. So what you see is a big open space and lots of bells in front. You have to ring the bell and the deities will know of your presence. Then, do that two claps praying motion you'll always see in Japanese drama and ask for your blessings then. Oh, and you should probably throw in a nickle or dime before you do that too. *grins*

So the correct ritual should be in the following sequence:
1. Put your monetary offering in the box (usually in front of the bells)
2. Ring the bell
3. Bow twice with hands together
4. Clap twice and ask for your blessing
5. Bow once more to complete the ritual

Amazingness 100%

Click play for total awesomeness.

There are about hundreds or thousands of Tori along the path that leads you up to the shrine. Here we experienced a Robert Frost moment. Hahahaha.... two roads diverge and we chose the one less taken. *grins* Simply because we want to capture the moment know it's slight eerie walking up with just the two of us but we did meet a traveller or two on the way up. *phew*

HAHAHA.... total cuteness 100%

The usual Ema (wooden blocks which you write your wishes on) is shaped as a fox here. So cute! And you have the liberty to dress up your foxy face.

And we got ourselves three. One each to bring back home as a momento while we share another one, to be placed at the shrine. Hahaha...

The many souvenirs featuring little structures of Tori gates and shrines and porcelein foxes, etc.

But these family of kitsune is the cutest. ^_^

Tempting real-looking fake food. We were on our way back to Kyoto then. It was almost lunch time and boy, were we eager to eat.

But our patience paid off as we arrived back at Kyoto Station and chose to had lunch here instead. Away from the serious humidity outside. All hail Air-conditioned sushi bar!

All Hail Affordable Sushi!
It's surprisingly not too expensive, especially since everything is priced the same.

EVERYTHING!

And Everything is BIG in comparison to the tiny sushi we have here.

The man behind the bar. Hahaha... silly silly pun. *bricked*

HAHAHA... another silly moment. The man beside Cubbie must have thought we're silly silly foreigners. Beside me on the other hand was an elderly lady which was very friendly and helpful. She thought us two silly silly girls how to pour hot water into our tea cups. HAHAHA... and she asked us some things which we attempted to answer with limited Japanese and lots of smiles. *smile smile smile*

When she left, Cubbie pointed out how rare it is to see an elderly lady like her eating all by herself. Well, that's Japan for you. They live till they are very old yet they are still strong and healthy. They like going about alone. Thus, you get old healthy people eating out alone. *sigh* That's definitely not something us Malaysians are very customised to, neh?

After lunch, part 2 of Chapter Six coming up!

Before that I'll leave you with this....

More Delicious Fake Food! (-__-);;

HAHAHAHA....

And She Finally Reaches the Big 2 0 0!

I'm slow. I know.

But like they all say
"Slow and Steady Wins The Race".

Though literally, there is no race. Therefore, there's nothing to win. But anyhow, I'll eventually get there. And, "there" being wherever I want to be. 'Cause it is I who determine the race.

It is my race after all.

******

Does this post even makes any sense?
Hmm... probably not since I'm writing with
an awful ache on my head.

Hiyashibeeps Got Widgeted!

Congratulations! It's a Match.

*grins*

Can I be pickie and wish the colour matches my flower instead? =P

I got to be honest, I would have picked the plain looking one if it's not because of the matching-ness of the Xchange flower with mine.

*stares at the new flower on her page*

I'm having doubts. It seems like it's stealing all the attention away from my real pretty. *frowns* Hmm... what do you think?

Anyway, why don't you check Nuffnang Xchange yourself?
I'm always up for something new.
Let's see how it works and if I'm liking it.

3 STEPS 1 BOW - A Holiday Too Early!

Really too early lah!!!
Even Camera-san was still blur in the morning. XD

Labour Day. Worker Day. Whatever you call it, it was supposed to be a Holi... DAY! Yet, I woke up waaay earlier than usual. I wished I could say that "it's just so wrong" but I'm in no position to make such statement. Not when it was for a religiously-devoted-cause. ^^;;;

SEE! SEE!

So many people wey!
Like hundreds! Like thousands!

Don't believe me?

Here's another far shot of the procession.

And I was waaaay back in line. And and... after one hour of "3 Steps 1 Bow"ing which I personally think should be termed as "3 Steps 1 Kneel" to be technically correct (-_-);;, I was only at the starting line. What desu yo? I was one-whole-hour-away from the word MULA! Ergo those started way behind are walking double the distance of those who started at the actual MULA Line. *swt*

Hear the sound of the gong! Hear the chant. And watch them kneel.

How did I record this if I'm in there right? Well, my dad convinced us that technically we finish the required distance when we reached that MULA Line. Hahaha... so we shamelessly slipped away... totally out of the line. XD and yes, lame pun intended. *bricked*

Lookie at my red red arms caused from the kneel-bow ritual.

Mom was the only one that make it all the way to the very end. Dad eventually joined her again after a good rest. Me and sis on the other hand went on taking those interesting pictures all around us which got us this and this.

And this!

It's pretty happening for a Holi...Day right? Lots of different group of people. The Tai-chi Master and his disciples, the big Indian family picnic, the healthy joggers, the friendly walkers, etc etc etc. Oh, and I never did mention where on earth was I did I? -.-;;

Go ahead and clickie

Here's a funny incident that is just so wrong to laugh about yet. =P We were told to keep a distance with the person in front, to allocate enough space for the kneeling thingy. Of course, we all did try our best to do so, but it's not always that easy since everyone seemed to have well, different length to their steps. So there was this elderly lady in front of me who went down on her knees as the cue to kneel came and when she attempt to get up, the guy in front actually accidentally stepped on her hair. OMG! See the importance of space here.

Gosh, it was down right funny yet it's just so wrong to laugh about it. Even her two daughters were having a hard time holding back their laughter.

Anyway, it all ended around 9am. Went off for breakfast and was home by 10.30am. And to think, I would have still be in bed and missed all these. *grins*

Second Shot of the Day

Woohoo! I'm on da roll! A slow roll. *swt*
Haven't finished editing the rest of the pictures yet. That explains the post-by-post single photo entry. *dies*

Cute Anot?
Daddies in uniform. I think it's a secret code inside the All Dad Organisation or something. *snickers*

Article 1.01:
All Dads Are Required To Dress in Orange When Going Out
for Family Outings.

Neh neh, and if you noticed... someone had finally taught the little girl to use her tricycle correctly. *cheers*

You Ride A Bike, She Carries It.

Totally adorkable isn't she?
*hearts*

Big sister there should explain to the little dear how to use a bicycle... eh wait. It's a tricycle. *grins*

More from where this came from... get ready!
